After communicating with the Portuguese media, Cristiano Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro dropped a real "bomb".
The famous footballer's mother is convinced that her son deserves many more individual awards, but due to the mafia prevailing in football organizations, he has become a victim of his own fate.
"There is a mafia in football," said Dolores Aveiro. "If you look at what happened, you will see how the mafia really operates."
"If my son were English or Spanish, they would not have done what they did now. But he is Portuguese, born in Madeira, so that's what happens to him," continued the mother of the five-time best footballer on the planet.
These words of C. Ronaldo's mother could be agreed with: the last time an English footballer won the "Ballon d'Or" award was in 2001, and a Spaniard in the 1960s.
Asked about this year's "Golden Ball" awards, Dolores Aveiro replied: "I don't know if he will win this prize, but I know he deserves it. If we look at what he has done this year, there is no doubt about the winner."
