Portuguese and Spanish media report that the Madrid "Real" team may remain without their legend this summer - Cristiano Ronaldo as the relationship between him and Florentino Perez has reached its highest level of tension.
According to "Record," the president of the "Real" team, with C. Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes, who has not been very welcomed in the "white" environment for some time, do not agree on a new contract.
Spanish journalist and close friend of C. Ronaldo, Edu Aguirre, revealed that C. Ronaldo wants to earn at least 32 million euros. According to the current contract, he earns 21 million euros, but the forward greatly lags behind both Lionel Messi (40 million) and Neymar (36 million).
The 33-year-old C. Ronaldo was particularly upset that F. Perez had promised him a new contract after the 2017 UEFA Champions League final in Cardiff, but he did not receive it up to now.
These ambitions of the Portuguese and constant reminders of a possible departure angered the "Real" club management. According to other sources, F. Perez will not offer a new contract to the most productive player in the club.
This reason should bring C. Ronaldo closer to the departure. However, there is another problem - the "Real" team has not yet received any offers for the player, and his contract specifies a sum of even 1 billion euros.
The "Real" team does not intend to sell C. Ronaldo for less than what Neymar was acquired by PSG last summer. The future of the Portuguese will not be clarified in the near future - he will not make any decisions related to "Real" in the World Cup.
It is worth mentioning that in recent years, "Real" has almost all but abandoned J. Mendes's clients - Fabio Coentrao, Pepe, James Rodriguez, and Angel Di Maria have all left the team.
