Carlos Tevez, a striker for Juventus, received a call-up to the Argentine national team for the first time after a three-year break. He will take the field in two friendly matches.
The former Manchester City player last represented the national team in 2011, when Argentina lost to Uruguay in the quarterfinals of the Copa America.
The team's coach, former Barcelona strategist Gerardo Martino, stated earlier this month that all doors are open to Tevez, he just needs to prove his worth while representing the club.
Considering Tevez's 8 goals in 10 matches this season, the coach finally decided to include Tevez in the squad for the matches against Portugal and Croatia.
