In January, the upcoming election for the president of "Barcelona" promises to be highly intriguing. Candidates are going all out making various promises, with one of them, Augusti Benedito, even aiming to demolish the club's sacred venue called "Camp Nou" stadium. According to the man, the current club's plans to renovate the 105,000-seat arena have failed because it would cost too much money. Benedito proposed playing for three years at the "Espanyol" arena until a new building is erected within three years. "If we win the elections, I will build a new stadium. We are considering two options: the first is to demolish "Camp Nou" and build a new arena there, and the other option is to build in Sant Joan Despi. If we hurry, the project will not cost more than 900 million euros," clarified Benedito.
