London's "Arsenal" is finishing negotiations with "Saint-Etienne" for the acquisition of a promising center-back.
According to "Standard", the "gunners" will borrow 18-year-old William Saliba from "Saint-Etienne" for the season. "Arsenal" managed to convince the French that the deal for the player's rights will happen not this, but next summer.
Such measures were taken because this summer the "Arsenal" budget is only 40 million pounds sterling.
W. Saliba will be bought by "Arsenal" next summer for a fee of 26.5 million pounds sterling.
The promising footballer has attracted the attention of several famous European clubs, but the "gunners" promised the defender an important role from the moment of his arrival.
Last season, W. Saliba played 16 matches in the "Ligue 1" championship.
