Carlos Bianchi will train "Atletico" © EuroFootball.com

Today Madrid officially announced that the new head coach of the capital's club will be Carlos Bianchi. A contract has been signed with the Argentine for two years. This will be the second time Bianchi will try to establish himself in Europe, as he was dismissed before the end of the season while coaching the Italian club Roma.

The 56-year-old strategist will replace Cesar Ferrando Gimenez, whose Atletico team only took 11th place in the Spanish championship this season. Bianchi left Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires last summer and has not coached any team since then.

Atletico's new coach promises to evaluate the team's players in the near future and decide whether major changes are needed. It is believed that Bianchi's first signing will be his compatriot Juan Roman Riquelme.
