On June 10, 2024, the International Sports Arbitration made a final decision in a case where the Ltd. "Suvalkija Youth Football Club Academy" (Marijampolė MML City) appealed against the decisions of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) Executive Committee.

Another part of the appeal, related to the decision of the LFF Executive Committee "To remove the team of Ltd. "Suvalkija Youth Football Club Academy Marijampolė MML City from the LFF Optibet First League championship due to the revoked I League license", was reviewed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) judge, who decided to dismiss the appeal.
In his decision, the Court of Arbitration for Sport judge stated that both the LFF Executive Committee and the LFF Disciplinary Committee made their decisions properly and within their competence.
Furthermore, according to the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Ltd. "Suvalkija Youth Football Club Academy" (Marijampolė MML City) is required to cover the legal costs of the Lithuanian Football Federation, amounting to 2000 Swiss francs.
"Although we had to wait for the final decision a bit, we are satisfied that this issue has finally been resolved. We never doubted our position at all, so this matter can finally be closed and we can move on. Once again, we have shown that the fight against fixed matches is one of our priority areas and that we will not tolerate it in Lithuanian football," commented LFF President Edgaras Stankevičius.
