Casemiro believes that Zinedine Zidane made the right decision to play with five defenders against Valencia.
Real Madrid secured a confident victory on Wednesday and will compete for the Spanish Super Cup trophy on Sunday. Zidane started the match with Casemiro, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, and Isco.
"I think we had complete control of the match," the Brazilian said. "We had a plan and executed it perfectly.
"Maybe playing with five defenders can result in less effective attacking play, but for us, the most important thing was to control the ball.
"It was a bit of a test for us as a team, but we proved that we can play against a strong opponent with this formation. Valencia is never an easy team to beat, so we are happy with the victory," added Casemiro.
