Casillas ready to defend "Real" goal in the next season

Madridthe "Real" club dismissed coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday and goalkeeper Iker Casillas spoke out about his anger towards the Italian.

Casillas lost his position as the first-choice goalkeeper after an injury he suffered in Jose Mourinho's final season with the "Real" team, and it was taken over by Diego Lopez.

When the coach changed, Casillas remained the second choice goalkeeper for "Real". Casillas said that he was angry at the coach because of this situation.

"This club demands a lot and the board made the best decision. I thank C.Ancelotti for what he did for me. The year was not easy and I was angry because he did not let me play much. But he is a great man," said Casillas.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper stated that he will stay at the "Real" club next season. There were rumors that Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea was a target for "Real". Casillas insists that he will not give up without a fight.

"I am sure I will be here next season. I cannot imagine another option. I want to end my career here. If things don't work out, I will leave, but now I feel good and strong. I will welcome the next season as if it were the first," said Casillas.

This season, Casillas made some serious mistakes and "Real" fans booed him for it more than once.
