The Serie A has resolved the conflict between the Genoa club and forward Antonio Cassano - the Italian will stay with the team and will be reintegrated into the squad from the new year.
Serie A team managers sought to terminate the contract with the scandalous footballer who broke discipline, but the arbitration board decided that there is no basis for it.
However, 28-year-old Cassano will have to settle for a salary that is half of what he used to earn - it has been reduced from 3 million euros to 1.5 million.
