During Friday evening's heated meeting at the "Sevilla" stadium, the match ended in a 1:1 draw with "Valladolid". In the first half of the game, the hosts took the initiative. They created more dangerous chances, but failed to put the ball into the net. The closest to scoring was "Sevilla" defender Eric Lamela, whose shot flew just wide. In the second half, the hosts lost their pace, and in the 80th minute, "Valladolid" forward Anuar scored a great goal. However, "Sevilla" managed to equalize just 6 minutes later. After a catastrophic mistake by the away team's goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo, Karim Rekik scored. In extra time, there was unrest beyond the field boundaries and the referee showed a red card to "Valladolid" defender Jawad El Yamqui, as well as "Sevilla" player Marcos Acuna. "Sevilla" started the new season uncertainly and gathered only one point in the first two matches, placing them in 13th position. The "Valladolid" club, in 15th place, also has the same number of points.
