One of the most famous footballers on the planet, former star of the Argentine national football team, 55-year-old Diego Maradona, was not allowed to leave the country on Monday. The Argentine arrived at Buenos Aires airport with his current girlfriend Rocio Oliva, but he was not allowed to board the flight to Dubai.

The Argentine football legend was told that his passport is fake. More precisely, the migration service database records that D. Maradona's passport has been lost and may be being used by a stranger or it may be fake.

The football celebrity wanted to fly to Dubai to meet his illegitimate son in Italy. From 1984 to 1991, the Argentine played for the Italian club "Napoli" and had intimate relationships with several admirers.

"I'm furious. Everything's going to hell. They told me that my passport is on a list of lost or fake ones," - returned to his home in Buenos Aires "Ezeiza" airport, Maradona threw tantrums to clarin.com.

He insisted that he did not provide any information to the authorities about the lost passport.

"What does this look like? Does no one know who I am? I think this is a political showdown. On Tuesday, I will go to court to have all possible sanctions against me lifted," - clarified Maradona, who recently sees himself in the political arena.

Interestingly, the border police refused to accept the second passport held by Maradona - Italian.

"Now everyone hold on. You don't know who you're dealing with. I won't leave this matter unresolved," - threatened the former famous footballer.
