C.Bravo: "We had to make an effort to beat the opponents"

In three consecutive matches without conceding a goal, Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo praised the team's attitude, but noted that in the match against Athletic, his teammates had to work hard to secure the victory.

For over an hour, Luis Enrique's players tried to break through the Basque defense, but they only managed to do so towards the end of the game. Neymar, who came on as a substitute, scored two goals against the Bilbao team.

"It was not easy, but we finally managed to overcome Athletic's resistance. They always fight until the end and are serious opponents for any team. The Spanish championship season has just begun, but it is already clear that the Bilbao team is well organized. Maybe it's because the Basques have already had to play important matches in the Champions League qualifying phase," said C. Bravo, who previously played for another Basque club, Real Sociedad.

According to the goalkeeper, Barcelona's style of play differs from that of his previous club, but the changes are to his liking: "My position as a footballer is not a frequent participant in the events on the field, but I always have to stay focused. I am happy to play in this team."

Midweek, Barcelona will begin their journey in the Champions League, with Nicosia's APOEL club as their opponent at the Camp Nou stadium.

The Cypriot team is immediately considered the underdog in Group F, but C. Bravo does not believe that this is an opportunity to relax: "I am convinced that we will face a match as difficult as the one we played against Athletic."
