Glazgo „Celtic“ can become Scottish champions for the third time in a row.
In the early šaturday „Old Firm“ derby, „Celtic“ defeated Glazgo „Rangers“ team 2:1.
Matt O'Riley put the hosts ahead in the 35th minute. Soon after, the visitors' goalkeeper John Lundstram scored an own goal.
Good news followed for the „Rangers“ team after a bad one. Cyriel Dessers reduced the score in the 40th minute, but in extra time the same Lundstram was sent off for a rough foul.
„Rangers“ goalkeeper Jack Butland saved M. O'Riley's penalty in the second half. However, the score remained the same and „Celtic“ found themselves just one point away from the Scottish champions title.
