Central "Serie A" match won by "Roma", "Juventus" still without points (VIDEO)

Yesterday, the central match of the second round of the "Serie A" league took place, where the clubs "Roma" and "Juventus" met. The hosts celebrated victory with a score of 2-1.

The hosts started the match much more actively, pressing the "Juventus" players and winning several corners. After one of them, Seydou Keita struck dangerously, but Gianluigi Buffon did not have to work hard.

A few minutes later, Iago Falque struck dangerously. "Roma" created a chance after a mistake by Paulo Pogba in midfield, but the Spaniard's shot from 16 meters flew over the goal.

In the 24th minute, "Roma" was inches away from a goal. Miralem Pjanic's shot from outside the penalty area beat the goalkeeper, but hit the post.

"Roma" dominated the first half, controlling the ball about 60% of the time, but after M. Pjanic's shot, they failed to create anything serious. Meanwhile, "Juventus" had to mostly defend and look for opportunities on the counter-attack.

"Juventus" created their first dangerous opportunity early in the second half - after a corner kick lifted by Paulo Dybala towards the far post, Giorgio Chiellini headed the ball towards the center of the penalty area, but no one from the "Juventus" players took advantage of this pass. Later, a shot by Martino Caceres was very inaccurate.

In the 57th minute, "Roma" attacked dangerously again. After a long shot, the ball fell at the feet of M. Pjanic inside the penalty area. Despite the difficulty, he managed to control it and tried to send the ball to the far post with his left foot. However, the shot was too weak and G. Buffon easily caught it.

In the 61st minute, the first goal of the match fell. Edin Dzeko had a great chance a few minutes ago, and a few moments later, M. Pjanic scored from about 23 meters.

Five minutes later, a curious episode occurred - the reserve goalkeeper of "Juventus", Rubinho, was shown a red card for dissent.

In the 71st minute, "Juventus" was closer to scoring. From the right side, P. Dybala once again sent in a corner kick, and P. Pogba remained unmarked in the penalty area. However, the Frenchman failed to hit the goal with his head. A few moments later, G. Buffon had to save his team - Radja Nainggolan struck dangerously from a distance.

In the 78th minute, the chances of "Juventus" were further reduced - a second yellow card was shown to Patrice Evra.

Just a few seconds later, "Roma" increased their lead. Iago Falque sent a high ball from the left wing, and E. Dzeko, using his strength, headed the ball into the goal.

With 4 minutes left until the end of regular time, "Roma" almost scored a third goal when I. Falque struck after a dangerous quick attack. "Juventus" once again relied on G. Buffon.

In the 88th minute, the match returned to intrigue - from a few meters away, P. Dybala sent the ball into the goal.

In extra time, "Roma" was mostly saved by Wojciech Szczesny - he impressively blocked a header from Leonardo Bonucci after a corner kick.

Finally, "Roma" managed to hold on - the scoreboard showed a 2-1 victory for the hosts.
