"Barcelona" and the Spanish national team's defender Cesc Fabregas is tired of the media rumors about a possible move to another team.
Lately, several British tabloids have been writing constantly that the Catalan player could move to "Manchester United" or return to London's "Arsenal" for an impressive sum.
Former "Red Devils" defender Denis Irwin even stated that the Manchester team will do everything possible to bring C. Fabregas to the multiple English champions.
However, the "Barcelona" defender laughed off such rumors in an interview with the radio station "Onda Cero."
"It's interesting where people come up with such things. I myself never talked about it," said the Catalan, who is currently preparing with the Spanish national team for the Confederations Cup tournament.
"It would be different if I felt unwanted, but I have never said that. I am happy in Barcelona. The only truth is that I want to continue winning with my current club," noted the defender.
The words of the footballer were confirmed by "Barcelona" vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
According to one of the leaders of the Catalan club, C. Fabregas may leave "Barca," but only if he desires it himself.
However, the Catalan firmly denies any talks about his departure: "Playing for Barca has been my dream since childhood, so now I have to prove it by working hard. I understand that not all the team's fans like me and criticize me, but I understand them. Their criticism is another challenge for me, and I accept it."
