On Wednesday evening, two more first quarter-final matches were played in the UEFA Champions League.
The most attention was drawn to the match in Paris, where PSG's team, supported by their fans, clashed with the players of "Barcelona". The visitors from Catalonia had no difficulties and celebrated a victory with a score of 1-3 in the first match.
The match started with both teams being cautious, but it didn't take even 20 minutes for the first goal. In the 18th minute, Neymar received a great pass from Lionel Messi and scored with a precise shot past Salvatore Sirigu.
After conceding the goal, PSG faced another issue - their team captain Thiago Silva couldn't continue the match due to injury. He was replaced on the field by David Luiz, who was still feeling the effects of his own injury.
No goals were scored in the remainder of the first half. The next 45 minutes also did not go well for the hosts, who were forced to pull the ball out of their net again in the 67th minute. Luis Suarez, demonstrating his technical skills on the right flank, along with D.Luiz and Maxwell, defeated S.Sirigu.
Another goal from the visitors didn't take long to come - in the 79th minute, the same L.Suarez dribbled the ball between D.Luiz's legs and scored the third goal with a powerful shot into the top corner of the net.
However, just two minutes later, PSG managed to reduce the deficit when Jeremy Mathieu directed the ball into his own net while trying to block Gregory van der Wiel's shot. This away goal doesn't provide much hope for Laurent Blanc's team, as PSG will need to win by at least three goals in the second leg to advance to the semi-finals.
In the other match, an unexpected sensation was recorded. "Porto" defeated a depleted "Bayern" club in front of their own fans with a score of 3-1, taking a big step towards the semi-finals.
