The London "Arsenal" team impressively started the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal series.

The "Gunners" decisively defeated the defending champions, Madrid's "Real" club, 3-0 at home.

In the first half, the visitors successfully halted the hosts' attacks, with K. Mbappe and Vinicius trying to threaten the opponents' goal for the Spaniards.

After the break, "Arsenal" midfielder D. Rice took center stage.

In the 58th minute, the Englishman flawlessly converted a penalty kick, giving the Premier League representatives a narrow lead of 1-0.

In the 70th minute, D. Rice astonished the "Real" club once again with another penalty kick - 2-0.

Finally, in the 75th minute, M. Merino unpleasantly surprised T. Courtois and made the score a crushing 3-0.

The return leg will take place on April 16 in Madrid.
