Champions League qualifying: Giedrius Arlauskas and Lukas Spalvis's clubs reach the decisive stage

On Wednesday, the Champions League third qualifying round second leg matches were played. Giedrius Arlauskis' Bucharest "Steaua" club and Lukas Spalvis' "Aalborg" advanced to the next stage.

In the matches, the Romanian champions' club Bucharest "Steaua" defeated the Kazakh "Aktobe" 2-1 at home and advanced with a total score of 4-3. "Steaua" is one step away from the group stage. Even in case of failure, the Bucharest club would play in the Europa League groups.

The goals for the winners were scored by Alexandru Chipciu and Nicolae Claudiu Stanciu, while Timuras Kapadze scored at the end of the match.

In the goal of the winning team stood reliably the Lithuanian Giedrius Arlauskis, who played excellently at the end of the first half.

In other matches, the Danish club "Aalborg", where Lithuanian Lukas Spalvis plays, managed to hold off Zagreb's "Dinamo". The Croatians won the first match in Denmark 1-0, but in Zagreb they managed to secure a 2-0 victory.

Lukas Spalvis played in the starting lineup but was substituted in the 62nd minute due to an injury. Nicklas Helenius appeared in his place.
