On Friday in Nyon (Switzerland), the draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals will take place.
Among the eight strongest teams from the Old Continent, three representatives from the Spanish league (Real Madrid, Atletico, and Barcelona), two Bundesliga teams (Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich), as well as one club each from Serie A (Juventus), the Premier League (Leicester City), and Ligue 1 (Monaco) will be included.
Details of the ceremony starting at 13:00:
- the teams will not be divided into baskets, so the draw may result in teams from the same country facing each other.
- the first leg of the tie will be played at the home stadium of the team drawn out first.
The most stable teams
In the 2016/17 season, stability has been shown by Real, Barcelona, Bayern, and Atletico, who have repeated last season's results and once again reached the quarter-finals.
Football fans will see the return of Juventus, Borussia, and Monaco, while Leicester City has achieved its best result in club history. These teams will replace PSG, Benfica, Wolfsburg, and Man City, who showed worse results.
The quarter-final matches will be played on April 11-12 and 18-19.
Reminder: the Champions League final will take place at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on June 3.
