“Liverpool” team failed to accomplish a difficult task.
The English club had to put on an impressive performance in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match against Real Madrid and make up for the home loss with a score of 2:5.
However, Jurgen Klopp's soldiers failed to break through the opponents' defense.
In the 7th minute, D. Nunez missed a chance, with his shot being saved by T. Courtois. Real Madrid also wasted opportunities in attack - Vinicius and E. Camavinga.
In the second half, the Spaniards played more actively, and K. Benzema's goal finally crowned their efforts - 1:0.
The match ended in favor of the Real Madrid club, as they confidently advanced to the quarterfinals.
