In the UEFA Champions League, a battle of giants took place - Manchester City and Real Madrid clashed at the "Etihad" stadium.

The first leg of the quarter-final stage in Spain ended in a 3-3 draw.

The match started with a cold shower for the hosts. In the 12th minute, Rodrygo managed to beat Ederson and gave Real a fragile lead - 0:1.

Man City immediately tried to press the opponents and equalize.

In the 17th minute, E. Haaland headed a shot, in the 27th minute, K. De Bruyne had a chance, but the score remained unchanged.

In the second half, the situation remained the same - the English attacked, while the Spaniards tried not to concede a goal.

In the 70th minute, J. Grealish's shot was saved by A. Lunin. Finally, in the 76th minute, the "Citizens" achieved their goal - after A. Rudiger's mistake, K. De Bruyne controlled the loose ball and the score became 1:1.

The second half ended like that - the teams had to play extra time.

No goals were scored in extra time and the winner was decided in a penalty shootout.

The first to miss in the "lottery" was Real's defender L. Modric, but the Spanish team was saved by A. Lunin, who stopped B. Silva and M. Kovacic's shots.

The remaining players did not miss in the shootout - the "Real" team celebrated victory with a score of 3:2, setting up a semi-final clash with Bayern Munich.
