Champions League round of 16 draw: "Man City" awaits "Barcelona" challenge

Monday - a special day for UEFA Champions League fans. In Nyon (Switzerland) the pairs of the knockout stage quarterfinals were drawn.

In the first round, English champions "Man City" faced a tough opponent - the "Barcelona" club. Both teams competed last year and the Catalans easily advanced to the quarterfinals with a combined score of 4-1.

In the knockout matches of the previous season, PSG - London's "Chelsea" teams played against each other (3-1, 0-2, with the away goal Chelsea won), Madrid's "Real" and Gelsenkirchen's "Schalke" (6-1, 3-1, C.Ronaldo scored 4 goals).

Turin's "Juventus" defeated Dortmund's "Borussia" in the 1993 UEFA Cup final (6-1), but lost in the decisive 1996 Champions League final (1-3).

Leverkusen's "Bayer" and Madrid's "Atletico" have played two draws with the same result (1-1) in the 2010/11 Europa League group stage.

Donetsk's "Shakhtar" - Munich's "Bayern", "Porto" - "Basel", and London's "Arsenal" - "Monaco" have not played against each other yet.
