On Wednesday, football fans had the opportunity to witness an unpredictable clash of Italian giants.

In the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match, "Milan" and "Inter" teams clashed at the "San Siro" stadium.

The match started perfectly for Simone Inzaghi's team playing as visitors.

In the 8th minute, Edin Dzeko rushed to the ball after H. Calhanoglu's corner kick and scored with an unstoppable shot to give his team the lead - 1:0.

Barely having time to recover, the "Milan" team suffered another blow.

After intercepting the ball in the middle, "Inter" launched a lightning-fast attack. F. Dimarco made an accurate pass to H. Mkhitaryan, who scored his team's second goal - 2:0.

Soon after, H. Calhanoglu almost extended the lead for "Milan" - the ball struck the goal post.

In the 32nd minute, the referee initially awarded a penalty kick to L. Martinez for a foul in the penalty area, but after a VAR review, he reversed his decision.

In the second half, "Milan" tried to at least narrow the gap, and S. Tonali came closest to scoring, shaking the crossbar with his attempt.

The second leg match will be played on May 16th at the "San Siro" stadium.
