Champions League Top Eleven

Just after the end of the third round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, the portal Goal.com announced eleven players who performed best in the Tuesday and Wednesday matches.

Impressing between the posts is Olympiacos goalkeeper Roberto, who helped the Greek champions resist against Juventus and secure a victory. The save against Alvaro Morata's shot was simply outstanding.

At right-back position is Giulio Donati from Bayer Leverkusen. This player not only stopped Zenit St. Petersburg's Hulk's attack, which could have ended in a goal, but also scored a fantastic goal himself. In the center of defense, Luisao performed excellently, helping Benfica to defend with 10 players against Monaco. Alongside him is Chelsea's captain John Terry. On the left, another Olympiacos player Arthur Masuaku, who dominated against the Italian champions.

In midfield duo are Philipp Lahm and Koke. The Bayern Munich player was the main pillar in midfield when Germans defeated Roma, while the young Atletico Madrid player scored the first goal and provided two assists against Malmo.

Further on the left, Borussia Dortmund's striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice. Meanwhile, terrorizing the opponents' defense on the right were also Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who both scored goals and provided assists.

The best forwards of the week once again were Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Shakhtar Donetsk's Luiz Adriano. The Frenchman scored a brace at Anfield against Liverpool, while the Brazilian playing in Ukraine had an even more impressive performance. He became only the second player to score five goals in a single UEFA Champions League match, leaving BATE Borisov fans in despair.
