The Argentine U23 national team achieved their goal - a spot in the Olympic Games in Paris.
In the final of the qualifiers, the Argentinians defeated their peers from Brazil 1-0.
Argentina secured the victory after Luciano Gondou's goal. At the tournament, the player recognized was Thiago Almada, who could be one of the prominent players joining the European market next summer.
As previously announced, participation in the Paris Olympics could interest Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria.
After winning the tournament, Almada said: "We would be very happy if Messi played with us. The decision is up to him."
