Changes in the Composition of the Lithuanian National Team Due to Injuries © EuroFootball.com

The Lithuanian national team's matches against the Faroe Islands and Kuwait have seen changes - as reported by the Lithuanian Football Federation, the team will no longer have the injured goalkeeper Mindaugas Malinauskas, who will no longer play matches this year, as well as most likely the injured legionnaires defender Rolandas Dziaukstas and forward Tomas Radzinevicius.

The goalkeeper of FBK "Kaunas" team, who already missed the match on Saturday against Klaipeda "Atlantas", suffered a torn groin muscle injury and will not be able to play until the end of the season. Three additional goalkeepers have been invited to the national team camp without M. Malinauskas: the main goalkeeper Zydrunas Karcemarskas, and two youngsters Ernestas Setkus and Saulius Klevinskas who have not played a single match for the national team.

In the latest Czech championship match, the forward suffered an injury, so Vilnius "Zalgiris" forward has been included in the national team squad in his place. T. Radzinevicius tore a muscle, and although formally the former "Suduva" player remains on the extended list of candidates, it is most likely that this footballer will not go to either the Faroe Islands or Kuwait.

Meanwhile, the Lithuanian National Team and Moscow's "Saturn" defender, according to doctors, will not be able to play for about three weeks. As announced on the official "Saturn" website at the end of last week, the 28-year-old player suffered an injury in the Russia Football Cup sixteen finals match against "Metalurg" - the footballer tore a thigh muscle.

In addition, there are currently question marks regarding one of the team leaders who has not played for the national team this year - a forward for Edinburgh "Hearts", who suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury at the end of August, did not play in September in either the Scottish championship or cup matches, or in the UEFA Cup matches and is likely to return to the lineup only next week.

Another forward also missed the weekend match against "Milan". The player from "Livorno" who scored a goal against the Italian team at the beginning of the month has suffered a calf muscle injury and will also miss the return UEFA Cup match against "Pasching", but should be ready to play in Serie A matches against "Messina" next week.

Meanwhile, all the other national team players played for their clubs last week. As is known, the extended composition announced on Monday did not include the long-injured Nerijus Barasa and due to disqualifications this year, it will not help the team in official matches, in any case, the safe players Davidas Semberas and Edgaras Cesnauskis.
