"Chapecoense" player woke up from coma: did we win the final?

Having survived the airplane tragedy, Brazilian footballer Neto from the club "Chapecoense" woke up from a coma but remembers nothing about the day when the passenger plane flying to Colombia crashed, claiming the lives of 71 people, as reported by "The Sun."

He was one of the fortunate few who survived, as the plane was carrying the team of "Chapecoense" that competes in the top football league in Brazil. All of its members - employees, coaches, players - perished. Only three players survived.

One of them is Neto, who recently woke up from a coma. His first question was whether "Chapecoense" won the final of the "Copa Sudamericana" tournament. Later, he wondered why he himself did not play in the final and how he ended up in the hospital.

Doctors decided not to tell the footballer the tragic news about the disaster until his condition improved.

However, they are confident that Neto will be able to continue playing football. He has already started walking with assistance.

"Chapecoense" was supposed to play in the final against the Colombian club "Atletico Nacional," but they announced that the trophy should be awarded to the deceased opponents without a match. The South American Football Federation decided that this action was the fairest.
