The Norwich team, returning to the league, hosted the London Chelsea team at home. Despite equalizing the score twice, the hosts eventually had to admit the advantage of the "Blues" - 2:3.
Fantastically, the match started for the team coached by Frank Lampard - in the 3rd minute, Tammy Abraham opened his scoring account. The striker directed the ball towards the opponent's goal with one touch after a great pass from Cesar Azpilicueta.
However, the Norwich team, confidently playing in their field, did not hesitate to respond with an equalizing goal - Todd Cantwell finished a well-organized attack with a precise shot in the 6th minute.
The goal show did not end there - in the 17th minute, Chelsea regained the lead when Mason Mount, after dribbling past several opponents, powerfully shot to put the guests ahead again.
As in the first case, after the second Chelsea goal, Norwich found an answer. In the 30th minute, Teemu Pukki again equalized in these matches. He scored his fifth goal of the season and is currently the top scorer in the league.
The battle for three points shifted to the second half. It was not as productive, but success smiled on the side of the "aristocrats."
In the 68th minute, the same T. Abraham scored the third and, as it later turned out, the winning goal for Chelsea. After a pass from Mateo Kovacic, he defeated the opponents' goalkeeper from about 18 meters.
For the Chelsea team, this was their first victory of the season. Previously, they had experienced a defeat and played a draw.
On Norwich's account, there is one victory and two losses.
