London's "Chelsea" officially announced on Wednesday evening that they have signed a contract with 19-year-old Croatian Mario Pašalić.
Until now, the young footballer, who plays in a defensive position, wore the jersey of his hometown club "Hajduk Split" and was included in the list of 30 Croatian national team footballers for the 2014 World Cup, but did not make it to the main team.
"I am very happy to have become a player of "Chelsea"," said M.Pašalić to the official website. "I am thrilled with the conditions of this club and at the same time want to thank the "Hajduk Split" team."
"I play in the position of defensive midfielder, and my favorite footballer is Frank Lampard, so I am very happy to have arrived at Chelsea," the Croatian concluded.
In the main team of "Hajduk Split" in Croatia, M.Pašalić played only for one season.
