"Chelsea" confidently defeated "Huddersfield", "Crystal Palace" achieved a dramatic victory (VIDEO)

On Tuesday evening, the first three matches of the 17th round of the English Premier League were played.

The country's champions, the footballers of London's Chelsea, tried to bounce back after a surprising defeat in the previous round in an away match against Huddersfield. Antonio Conte's plan worked - the Blues secured a comfortable 3-1 victory.

In the 23rd minute, Tiemoue Bakayoko put Chelsea in the lead after a great pass from Willian. The first half was even more successful for the visitors - Willian's header increased their advantage to two goals.

The second half also went well for Chelsea - Pedro's excellent goal in the 50th minute sent the ball into the corner of the net. At the end of the match, the hosts managed to score a consolation goal, but it did not have much significance in the game.

Chelsea at least temporarily equalized points with second-placed Man Utd after the victory. The gap to the leaders is huge - 11 points.

In another dramatic match, Crystal Palace achieved a victory in front of their spectators. The London team expanded their lead at the end of the match against a struggling Watford side.

The visitors started the match successfully - Daryl Janmaat put Watford ahead in the 3rd minute and they maintained the lead until the 89th minute. However, Crystal Palace did not give up and Bakary Sako equalized in the 89th minute. In the 87th minute, Watford played with ten men after Tom Cleverley was sent off, so the hosts wanted to seize the opportunity to win.

The end of the match was sweet - in the 92nd minute, James McArthur scored a goal and helped his team secure a dramatic victory.

In the last match, Burnley also defeated Stoke City at the end of the game.
