"Chelsea" defeats "Watford" players after intense battle (VIDEO)

At 14:30 Lithuanian time, the second match of the 9th round of the English Premier League took place.

In London, Chelsea welcomed Watford to their home. In a neighborly duel on the tournament table, spectators witnessed six goals and a fierce battle until the last minutes, but only one team celebrated victory - the Blues surpassed the Hornets with a 4-2 scoreline at the end of the match.

For Chelsea, who are in fourth place, this victory was very important, as Antonio Conte's players had previously suffered two consecutive losses.

The hosts started the match very successfully - in the 12th minute, Pedro scored a stunning goal to open the scoring, but later Chelsea's performance did not go as smoothly as they would have liked.

At the end of the first half, Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the equalizing goal, and just a few minutes into the second half, Roberto Pereyra saddened the Chelsea stadium by scoring a precise goal to put Watford ahead.

Shortly after that, A. Conte took drastic measures - he substituted Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso with Michy Batshuayi and Willian.

In the 71st minute, the first substitution brought the desired result - M. Batshuayi equalized with a header. The end of the match was tense, but Chelsea showed more desire to win and were soon rewarded for it.

In the 87th minute, Cesar Azpilicueta scored with a header after a failed attempt by the opponents' defender to intercept a cross from the corner, putting Chelsea ahead. The victory was sealed in the final minutes by the same M. Batshuayi.

Chelsea now has 16 points on the table, trailing the leaders by 6 points, albeit having played one fewer match. Watford, after the defeat, dropped to fifth place.
