Chelsea fans welcomed coach Rafael Benitez extremely hostilely, after the Spaniard does not doubt that he will win sympathies with good results.

In Sunday's match, the Spaniard made his debut at the helm of the capital's team, but was booed. In addition, fans held up signs urging Benitez to leave and bring back the dismissed Roberto Di Matteo.

"I don't care when fans chant favorable or unfavorable chants for me. I want this attitude to change," said the coach. "How will I do it? By working hard, giving it my all, and winning games."

He continued: "As I said, I will focus on the game and not pay attention to outside factors. In the eight years I spent in England, I've heard a lot of things. The fans will see that I am a professional and trying my best. I am sure we will win matches and do it all together."

After the match against Man City, which ended in a draw, Benitez spoke with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich: "The situation is not easy after the last few games. Roman knows my opinion, we think the same way. We need to win, we want to win, and do it together with the fans."
