"Chelsea" showed strength against "Everton", Manchester clubs didn't overcome the underdogs (VIDEO)

On Sunday, the 35th round of the English Premier League continued, with three more matches played.

The first match took place at Old Trafford stadium, where Manchester United battled Swansea. The result of the match was not surprising - the "Red Devils" played to a draw for the 13th time this season.

At the end of the first half, Wayne Rooney scored for the hosts. In added time, Marcus Rashford earned a penalty, controversially, but the "Man Utd" captain scored accurately from the spot.

In the second half, the "Swans" resisted the hosts and scored in the 79th minute - Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty left David De Gea with no chance, and the "Man Utd" team had to settle for a draw.

The "Red Devils" created attacks on the opponents' side, but did not create any dangerous opportunities and the match ended in a draw. "Man Utd" lost two more defenders due to injuries in this match - Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly, but it is unclear if the injuries are serious.

In other matches, Pep Guardiola's players also failed to break away from Manchester United. Manchester City drew with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Alvaro Negredo put "Boro" ahead in the 38th minute, but Sergio Aguero leveled the score from the spot in the 69th minute. However, Calum Chambers restored the lead for the hosts in the 77th minute.

The "Cityzens" pressed the opponents and once again leveled the score in the 85th minute - this time it was a goal from Brazilian Gabriel Jesus. No more goals were scored, and the match ended in a draw.

Chelsea, aiming for the title, also secured another important victory. Antonio Conte's players defeated Liverpool's Everton in the second half.

Pedro put the "Blues" ahead, and Gary Cahill increased the advantage from a set piece in the 79th minute. The final point was sealed in the 86th minute, when Willian scored after a few moments in the box.

With four more matches to play until the end of the season, Chelsea gained a 7-point advantage over Tottenham in London.
