On Wednesday evening, the last matches of the 25th round of the English Premier League were played.
The most attention was drawn to the match that took place at Stamford Bridge stadium, where the London-based Chelsea clashed with Everton from Liverpool. At the end of the match, Jose Mourinho's team expanded their lead with a minimal victory.
Playing in front of their home crowd, the "Blues" dominated the field and created more dangerous opportunities, but they only managed to score the decisive goal in the 90th minute, with Willian marking the goal after an excellent team attack.
The team in second place in the league, Manchester City, achieved an easy victory away from home. Manuel Pellegrini's team defeated Stoke City 4-1.
Among the winners, Samir Nasri, James Milner, and Sergio Aguero scored two goals each. The hosts only managed to score one goal through Peter Crouch, who leveled the score in the 38th minute.
Meanwhile, Manchester United fought for a hard-earned victory at home, beating Burnley 3-1. Even two goals were scored by the "Red Devils" center-back Chris Smalling, while Robin van Persie scored the third goal from the penalty spot.
In other matches, Southampton drew with West Ham, Newcastle secured victory against Crystal Palace, and West Brom defeated Swansea at home.
