"Chelsea" started the year with a crushing victory, "Everton" and "Tottenham" duel - peace (VIDEO)

On Sunday, the last two matches of the 20th round were played in the English Premier League.

At "Selhurst Park" stadium, two London teams - "Crystal Palace" and "Chelsea" clashed. The home side did not help Alan Pardew's players resist against the "Blues" team, which has been showing tragic results this season.

For the new Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink, it was the first victory of the year. In the 29th minute, Oscar put the visitors ahead after a pass from the main team striker.

The second half was even better for the opponents coming from the "Stamford Bridge" fortress. In the 60th minute, Willian scored a fantastic goal with one touch, and Diego Costa added the final touch a few minutes later.

Chelsea secured their seventh victory of the season and return to the 14th position, while Crystal Palace remains in eighth place after the defeat.

At 18:00 Lithuanian time, the match between Liverpool's Everton and London's Tottenham took place at "Goodison Park" stadium. After a tough and intense battle, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The visitors from North London started the game more actively, and in the 9th minute, striker Harry Kane could have put them ahead, but his shot hit the goalpost.

Despite the threatening play from the visitors, the hosts found a gap in the opponent's defense in the 22nd minute, and former Spurs winger Aaron Lennon put Everton ahead after a pass from Romelu Lukaku.

However, at the end of the first half, Everton managed to equalize the game when Dele Alli scored a great goal after a precise pass from Toby Alderweireld.

The second half saw an even more intense battle, but the desire to expand the lead was shown more by Roberto Martinez's team. Despite numerous attempts by the hosts to beat Hugo Lloris, the referee recorded a fair draw and the teams shared the points.
