London's Chelsea club has reached an agreement with Madrid's Atletico for the transfer of Brazilian forward Diego Costa to the ranks of the team in the capital of England.

The English press reports that the team led by J. Mourinho has agreed on the transfer fee, which will amount to 32 million pounds (over 39 million euros).

There has been talk about the potential transfer of D. Costa for some time now and the deal is unlikely to be announced at least until the beginning of June.

This season, Portuguese J. Mourinho has expressed dissatisfaction with the forwards he has and has talked about the need to strengthen the attacking line.

Madrid's Atletico acquired D. Costa in 2007 from Braga's Sporting team for 3.5 million euros. Since then, he has been loaned out to Albacete and Celta Vigo clubs for several seasons, also representing Real Valladolid team, from which he returned to Madrid for 1 million euros.
