"Chelsea will try to reach an agreement with the "Fulham" coach"

London's "Chelsea" has started negotiations with "Fulham" coach Slaviša Jokanović, according to the portal Goal.com. This step was taken because there were almost no hopes left to attract Maurizio Sarri.

The Serbian coach led another London team to victory in the "Championship" playoffs this year and climbed to the "Premier" league.

Meanwhile, Sarri remained in the fight for the "Serie A" title with "Napoli" for a long time, but eventually gave way to the "Juventus" team and decided to leave his position.

However, according to the existing contract, the Southern Italian club plans to release Sarri to another workplace only for a fee of 8 million euros, which "Chelsea" is not willing to pay.

Jokanović is now considered the favorite to replace Antonio Conte, but negotiations have also been held with Laurent Blanc and Luis Enrique.

Interestingly, Jokanović represented "Chelsea" as a player from 2000 to 2002. He took the field 39 times wearing the blue kit.
