RMC Sport reports that London's "Chelsea" won the battle for 25-year-old "Leicester City" defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante.
Impressively performing in the ranks of the "Foxes" last season, the French national team footballer was mostly interested in Madrid's "Real" and "Chelsea". One Chinese team also entered the fray for the midfielder, but N. Kante decisively turned down the opportunity to move East for impressive money.
There is a £20 million release clause in N. Kante's contract, but due to competition, "Chelsea" decided to pay more. According to the aforementioned source, the "Blues" will lay down £30 million for the English champions.
The Frenchman is expected to arrive in London and undergo a medical examination within the next 48 hours. It is announced that he will sign a five-year contract with "Chelsea".
Last season, N. Kante only missed one match in the Premier League. The Frenchman was the player with the most ball recoveries in the English championship.
