Madrid's "Real" sniper Javier Hernandez says he is happy at the "Royal" club, but warned that he is not satisfied sitting on the bench.
The Mexican joined the team at the beginning of this season. He was loaned from Manchester United, but the agreement includes the option to purchase the striker permanently.
Hernandez appeared rarely on the field during most of the season, but after Karim Benzema got injured, he started playing more frequently and, most importantly, demonstrated great athletic form.
"The season was very difficult" - the Mexican told beIN Sport France. "But in football, things can change very quickly. Thank God, I now have more opportunities to play."
"My parents taught me that patience and perseverance are part of the learning process. Today I feel very good," he said.
"Many thought I had no perspective left, but that was just the beginning. It is never worth giving up," he said.
"I learn every day in this great club and I am thankful to God for all this. I know that there is a lot of competition within Real, so I do not get many minutes, but I never wanted to complain," he said.
"However, sometimes I just expressed a feeling of disappointment. I am not the player who is satisfied sitting on the bench, I always want more," he concluded.
