On Tuesday, the UEFA Champions League Group F matches came to an end. The first place in the group was taken by Dortmund's "Borussia", which defeated St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team 2:1 in the last match. The hosts took the lead after the 16th minute goal by Sebastiano Driussi, but BVB responded with two accurate shots. In the 68th minute, Lukasz Piszczek equalized the score, and in the 78th minute, Axel Witsel gifted the victory to the Dortmund team.
A true drama unfolded in the other group matches, where Rome's "Lazio" played a 2:2 draw at home with "Club Brugge". This result was enough for the Italian club to secure the second place in the group. "Lazio" took the lead in the 12th minute after Joaquin Correa's goal, but the score was equalized by Ruud Vormer after three minutes. The Rome club once again took the lead in the 27th minute, when Ciro Immobile scored from the penalty spot. In the 39th minute, the visitors were left with ten men - Edward Sobol was sent off. Nevertheless, "Club Brugge" equalized the score again in the 76th minute with Hans Vanaken's goal, and in added time, Charles de Ketelaere hit the frame of the "Lazio" goal, opening the way for the Belgian club to the next stage of the tournament.
