On Wednesday, the remaining matches of the E-H groups' 3rd round were played in the UEFA Champions League.
The most interest was in the clash of the so-called "group of death" between Milan's "Inter" and Dortmund's "Borussia". Without any options in attack, BVB had to admit defeat to the hosts, for whom it was their first victory in Group F.
In the 22nd minute, Lautaro Martinez put "Inter" ahead. In the 83rd minute, the same Argentine could have sealed the victory from the penalty spot, but Roman Burki saved his shot. However, this did not save the BVB team - just a few minutes later, Antonio Candreva scored the second goal, sealing the battle for victory.
In the same group, "Barcelona" had to fight for three points against a tough resistance from Prague's "Slavia".
Lionel Messi put the visitors ahead at the start of the match, but the opponents, who caused many problems for the Catalan defense, equalized the result in the 50th minute. However, their triumph did not last long - after seven minutes, the hosts scored the winning goal, securing "Barca's" victory.
The "Barcelona" club became the group leader with 7 points, while "Inter" and BVB have 4 points each.
In Group E, the "Liverpool" team easily secured a victory. Goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and two from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain led to a 4-1 win against "Genk".
In other matches in the group, "Napoli" narrowly defeated "Salzburg" 3-2 after a tough battle. Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne led Napoli to victory, while Erling Braut Haaland showcased impressive scoring ability for the opponents.
With 7 points, "Napoli" remains at the top of the group, while "Liverpool" ranks second after two wins and one loss.
The remaining matches ended with a victory for Lisbon's "Benfica" against "Lyon" and a dramatic draw between "Lille" and "Valencia".
