Karim Benzema, who has departed for Saudi Arabia, will enjoy a similar salary to what Cristiano Ronaldo earns.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano announces that Karim Benzema will earn almost 200 million euros per year. This salary also includes commercial deals.
The Frenchman was officially introduced in the "Al-Ittihad" team.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is already playing here. He is my good friend who shows that Saudi Arabia is moving forward. I am here to win, just like I did in Europe," said the "Ballon d'Or" winner in an official statement.
The Frenchman has signed a two-year contract with the option to extend it for another year.
Another Saudi Arabian team, "Al-Hilal," is offering Lionel Messi nearly a billion euros for two years.
