Although Steve Bruce's relationship with Newcastle United fans has not been good lately. But after the Englishman left the Magpies, he was thanked by people like Newcastle club legend Alan Shearer and one of the current team leaders Allan Saint-Maximin. Allan Saint-Maximin thanked Steve Bruce on his social media: "You are, without a doubt, one of the most gentle people that I have ever met in the world of football. You have been a man of your word, a caring man and a fair man who never hesitated to protect us. I will never forget how you treated me, for that I will be forever grateful. It was an honor and privilege to have you as a coach, thank you Steve," wrote the Newcastle forward. Meanwhile, Alan Shearer wrote: "I know how difficult it must have been for any coach at Newcastle in the last 14 years. Steve and his family wanted to work. In difficult circumstances, he kept the team in the Premier League for two seasons. A new era is beginning now, but thank you, Steve, for your efforts and dedication." It is not yet clear who will be the next head coach of Newcastle United, but the team will be led by Steve Bruce's assistant Graeme Jones in the match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
