Club revenues: Madrid's "Real" set a world record in the last season

This season, the Madrid "Real" club, which had problems on the field, cannot say the same about its financial situation - the club managed by Florentino Perez continues to count record revenues.

Madrid "Real" revenues in the 2017-18 season reached €750.9 million. This is a world record for club revenues. Previously, "Manchester United" held the top spot, but after historic victories in the UEFA Champions League and successful annual negotiations with sponsors, the "white team" has significantly moved forward.

Compared to the 2016-17 season, Madrid "Real" revenues in the previous season increased by €97 million.

"European football remains a dominant force, with club revenues increasing by nearly €450 million per year," said Dan Jones, one of the partners at the audit firm "Deloitte". - Madrid "Real" demonstrated an incredible financial performance in the 2017-18 season.

"This can be attributed to their long and successful history on the field, and of course, their last three UEFA Champions League titles. This allowed the club to continue growing its commercial revenues. All partners' appetite only grows when the most successful European club is stronger than ever," added D. Jones.

In second place is "Barcelona", which generated €690.4 million in the 2017-18 season. "Man Utd" dropped to third place - their revenues reached €666 million.

In fourth place with €629.2 million is the Munich "Bayern" club, in fifth - "Manchester City" (€568.4 million). Also in the top ten are PSG, "Liverpool", "Chelsea", "Arsenal", and "Tottenham".

Altogether, the top 20 financially capable clubs in the previous season generated £7.4 billion.
