The Chinese league is trying to protect its most famous stars.
Shanghai Shenhua defender Qin Sheng, who deliberately stepped on Tianjin Quanjian's foot, received a huge fine.
The 30-year-old Chinese player was not only expelled from the field, but later received a strict commission verdict - six months of disqualification and a 16,000 euro fine.
On top of that, Sheng was also punished by his team, which ordered him to pay 40,000 euros and sent the veteran to the reserve team.
Another Shanghai Shenhua player, Sun Shilin, also received a fine for bothering Alexandre Pato by not letting him score a penalty kick, and will have to miss two matches.
