Managers have signed a new long-term contract with coach Steve Kean, which will be valid until June 30, 2013.
The 43-year-old specialist was entrusted with the steering wheel of Ewood Park stadium team for half a season, when Sam Allardyce was fired in December.
Blackburn is currently in 11th place in the English Premier League and under the new strategist has won three out of seven games, including a 3-1 victory against the Liverpool team.
Satisfied with the results, the club owners from India decided to entrust the team to Kean for the next two and a half years.
During the winter transfer window, Blackburn has already strengthened their ranks with striker Roque Santa Cruz and defender Jermaine Jones.
