Fabio Coentrao took another step towards moving to Madrid by deciding not to participate in Benfica's training camp in Switzerland.
While the Portuguese team's footballers left to start preparing for the next season, Coentrao stayed in Lisbon with his agents and Benfica officials to continue negotiations with Real representatives.
Although rumors have been circulating for a long time, the clubs have not been able to reach an agreement on the value of the deal. The Portuguese want 30 million euros, while the Spanish team initially offered a sum that was half of that.
The possibility of reaching an agreement is increased by the fact that the defender allegedly had a dispute with Benfica coach Jorge Jesus a few days ago.
