Composition of the Danish national team - without N. Bendtner.

There is no place for Nicklas Bendtner in the composition of the Danish national team for the World Cup.

The sniper was injured before arriving at the national team camp while representing Trondheim's "Rosenborg".

Head coach Age Hareide said he gave the striker a chance to recover and return to optimal physical shape, but he failed to prove he could be useful in Russia.

"We do not believe they will recover before the first match with Peru, there is very little time left, and that match is very important," Hareide said about Bendtner and also the injured defender Andreas Bjelland.

"It is most likely that we will fight for the second place with Peru and Australia, that's why it is important to start well, so we must have healthy players."

Bendtner will likely be missed, as he is the second top scorer in the history of the Danish national team.
