"Manchester City" confirmed that their defender Benjamin Mendy suffered a knee ligament injury. This was revealed after additional tests were conducted in Germany.
The Frenchman got injured in a "Premier League" match, which the "City" team won 5-0, and the initial tests were performed at the beginning of the week. However, the 23-year-old footballer had to undergo further examinations.
Tomorrow in Barcelona, the newcomer to the team will undergo surgery, but the exact date of his return has not been announced yet. It is believed that Mendy will be out of football at least until the New Year, as confirmed by him on Twitter.

Recently, there have been speculations that Mendy's rehabilitation could last the entire season, so it is still too early to clearly indicate the consequences of the injury.
The "City" management and fans can at least rejoice in the fact that this week captain Vincent Kompany has returned to training.
